As I step forward from my role as Manager of Community Development at CCSYR, I reflect with deep gratitude on the partnerships and experiences I’ve gained over the last many years working alongside many industry professionals.
The services we’ve built together are vital, and I’m committed to ensuring they continue.
Last year was full of meaningful moments. We united farm and community musicians for worship nights, celebrated ladies who work on farms with special evenings, and hosted sports days, pop-up game nights, and prayer, praise, and worship services. Seeing farms come together was incredible, and we’ll carry that spirit forward into The Chill Spot.
This year, we launch our first online issue, reaching 40,000 farms across Ontario. Being rooted in Norfolk has been a foundation of pride—building lasting relationships with farmers, organizations, and international staff.
On July 5th, we’ll host our third annual Farm-to-Farm Tug of War and soccer match, where the OPP will hit the soccer field to play against international farm staff. (Maybe they will win this year??)
Be sure to register your Tug of War and farm to farm soccer teams for this exciting sports day. Looking forward to another awesome year.
