Here in The Garden of Ontario, we are blessed with an abundance and variety of beautiful fruit trees.
Norfolk County is home to some of Canada’s largest orchards. Some of these trees are newly planted, while others have stood for generations.
Homeowners have also shared photos of magnificent old apple trees, along with treasured memories of growing up with them on their properties. Others may not know the exact age of their tree, but estimate it to be even older than the century-old heritage homes built around them.
These photos have all been shared by farm and homeowners throughout Norfolk County.
Now, On the Farm Magazine is extending a challenge on behalf of Norfolk County to communities across Ontario.
